Thanx for the lists Purple Gel & mcglone. Just got my hunting license. I caught the 7/7/86 & 7/4/87 shows. As for the latter, it was one of my favorite shows as for the overall great experience...how strange is it--and I think how common--that we can occasionally feel the frigging earth move at shows that, in & of themselves, were mediocre at best?

Thanx. I've had copies of both shows for awhile now. For starting to rebuild so late, I've been fortunate to amass a comfortable collection. Truth be known, and all props to Dylan & the Boys, I love 'em to the blood, but some of the tunes on 7/4/87 are just painful to listen to.

I remember it being hot as hell. I hate to cop out, because it sounds like one, but I have to give due credit to the drugs. It was one of the few times I ever managed to find good liquid and, shit, by the time we were north out of Foxboro I was still a changing man--"Dear Jesus help me, I'm a walnut!!!"
I still believe it was more than that (LSD)...a show with the right folks and there was still that swirling synergistic energy between the band & the (very) sweaty masses. A "mediocre" Dead show can still be a glory to behold...

dude - you are right on - it was actually hotter than hell. thank god i lived right down the street at the time - got to walk home. It was fun though - like you said, mediocre or not - didnt' get that liquid, but i did have a fungal attack that did me no wrong :)

You can add these to the list:

6/26/86 Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome Minneapolis, MN

7/4/86 Rich Stadium (Orchard Park) Buffalo NY

I have the original "zYounger Than Yesterday" tour poster from these 86' shows. All of those Dead/Dylan dates are listed on it...

I may be in the minority but I LOVED the East coast Dead-Dylan gigs.Sure they weren't the best Dead shows, in fact I thought of the Dead's sets as warm-up sets to the actual Dead-Dylan sets, but for me to see my two favorite performers together for three sets that summer was as the comercial says 'priceless'.

For listening pleasure I would recomend the rehearsal recordings from San Rafeal that spring however.
